Clear expectations before paid work begins
Every garden is different. Design pricing depends on the number and size of the areas, the condition of the site, the level of detail needed, and how you plan to bring the design to life. After the initial fit check, you receive a clear scope and fee before any paid work begins.
Your design fee pays for site review, horticultural and visual judgment, design development, documentation, presentation, and the revision included in the selected service. Depending on scope, it may also include plant information, seasonal guidance, a bloom calendar, care notes, or installation-ready details.
A single established bed is different from a blank property. A level, accessible site is different from one with removals, roots, poor soil, drainage problems, or several connected areas. The fee reflects the actual thinking and documentation your project needs.
You may install the design yourself, source plants independently, hire a local professional, or request a separate PaintedPlants installation review when your project is within the Michigan service area. Paying for a design does not automatically reserve installation capacity.
Preparation, removals, access, soil, roots, slope, plant sizes, materials, delivery, supplier availability, weather, and labor can all affect the final proposal and schedule.
No paid design work begins until the service, deliverables, timing, revision allowance, and fee are clear. If the short fit check shows that PaintedPlants is not the right path, you should know that before investing time in the complete intake.
